[菜鳥C4D4月19日訊]國外著名物理渲染器阿諾德官方發(fā)布消息稱,SolidAngle已被全球最大的二維、三維設(shè)計(jì)和工程軟件公司歐特克Autodesk收購。Autodesk旗下有很多大家在耳熟能詳?shù)能浖,?ds max、cad、maya等。Autodesk雖在2D和3D界獨(dú)霸天下,但旗下一直沒有響當(dāng)當(dāng)?shù)匿秩酒,一直以來max和maya都是與chaosgroup和asgvis公司出品的vray渲染器合作。Autodesk收購Arnold,可謂是如虎添翼,另外,關(guān)于Autodesk官方也對這次并購很興奮,并宣告Arnold將繼續(xù)支持Houdini, Katana,sfotimage以及Cinema 4D等。俗話講,背靠大樹好乘涼,阿諾德(Arnold)未來靠著autodesk這顆大樹一定會在CG行業(yè)大放光彩。
說到SolidAngle也是渲染器中的一把利劍,SolidAngle公司的阿諾德Arnold渲染器是一款高級的、跨平臺的渲染 API。與傳統(tǒng)用于 CG 動畫的 scanline(掃描線)渲染器(Renderman)不同,Arnold 是照片真實(shí)、基于物理的光線追蹤渲染器,是基于物理算法的電影級別渲染引擎,目前由Solid Angle SL 開發(fā)。正在被越來越多的好萊塢電影公司以及工作室作為首席渲染器使用。SolidAngle之前也一直為眾多CG軟件開發(fā)插件,有Maya, Softimage, Houdini和Katana,還有去年冬季才放出C4D版的插件,不曾想,沒過多久竟然被autodesk看上了,熟悉傳媒娛樂行業(yè)的朋友一定對Solid Angle公司和他的渲染器 Arnold 不陌生。Arnold是一款基于 Monte Carlo Ray tracing 的渲染器,很多好萊塢大廠和一些工作室都在使用。尤其是Sony Pictures Imageworks 基本上全線采用Arnold渲染。Arnold也幫助創(chuàng)造了很多優(yōu)秀的影片,比如2006年獲得奧斯卡提名的Monster House(怪獸屋), 還有諸如Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs(美食從天而降),Alice in Wonderland(愛麗絲夢游仙境),Pacific Rim(環(huán)太平洋), Gravity(地心引力)等等佳作。
autodesk公司的max和maya一直以來占據(jù)CG業(yè)的半壁江山,隨著c4d不斷的發(fā)展,不斷吞噬著autodesk的市場占有率,Autodesk可能發(fā)現(xiàn)了自己在渲染器上面的短板,因?yàn)镃4D自從發(fā)布以來就在軟件中集成了號稱渲染最快的渲染器,C4D渲染引擎效果好速度快。C4D擁有世界聞名的的快速渲染引擎AdvanceRender(高級渲染器),這個(gè)引擎具備強(qiáng)大的渲染能力而又具有多樣性,包括許多重要的功能,如全局照明、焦散、光能傳遞、HDRI、3S等等。在對硬件的需求上,它比其它的三維軟件要求要低,但是卻能取得更好的渲染效果.因此,即使很多用慣了其它3D軟件的人,也愿意在Cinema 4D的高速引擎中渲染。 Cinema 4D內(nèi)置基于Ray-Trace(光影追蹤)的AdvanceRender(高級渲染器),其Scanline(掃描線)渲染方式至今仍然是世界上速度最快、真實(shí)感最強(qiáng)、操作最簡單的非GI(非全局照明)渲染解決方案。而且C4D與一直在于其它渲染器有合作,像vray和Arnold以及Octane、team等都有開發(fā)C4D的插件。Autodesk雖然也有眾多渲染器為之開發(fā)插件,但自己沒有渲染器,江山必定不穩(wěn),為此可見Autodesk要誓與maxon cinema 4d干到底了,F(xiàn)在,隨著Arnold加入Autodesk大家庭, Autodesk在渲染方面的短板將得以補(bǔ)充。

Big news today! We are proud and excited to let you know that our team at Solid Angle has made a move that expands in a big way our capacity to keep pushing rendering forward. We’ve joined Autodesk! We are now part of the passionate Media & Entertainment team that includes Maya, Shotgun and RV, working to help artists create beautiful animation and VFX faster and easier across platforms and pipelines.

First, what you love about Arnold isn’t going to change. The Solid Angle team is still leading and driving Arnold’s technology direction, development and support. We have not handed Arnold over – we have joined Autodesk to keep moving it forward at the speed you know and expect, working closely with you as always. We are still here to help you with licensing, sales and support.
Second, development of Arnold plug-ins for Katana, Cinema4D, Houdini and Softimage – and other software will absolutely continue. Openness is everyone’s goal.
